Smart Fast Food Burger House Options On The Go

If you’re in a rush and plan on dining fast-food style to meet your energy needs and keep up with your busy day, it’s going to be a must that you choose wisely. Choose the wrong foods to eat at this time and you can rest assured your waistline will suffer as most of the options are incredibly high in both fat and calories.

So this said, what are the wise choices to go for? Let’s take a closer look so that you can navigate the waters successfully.

Grilled Chicken Breast

First, in almost all cases, you are going to be best skipping over the beef burger entirely and going for some grilled chicken instead. Grilled chicken is a fantastic source of protein that will be lower in fat and calories.

Just be sure that you order it without any special sauces that are sometimes added on and if you are on a lower carb diet, you may only want to eat half the bun – or forgo the bun entirely.

Chili

Next, if chili is an option at that restaurant, that’s a good one to go for as well. The beans will provide you with some complex carbohydrates for energy and will also pack in some protein as well.

Get the smaller size of the chili offerings to keep your calories under control and skip the bread bowl if that’s what it’s served in.

Salad

Next, salads are typically a good option to consider as well. If you’re going to go in for a salad however, you’ll want to be sure to choose one that doesn’t come with croutons, cheese, or bacon bits.

In addition to that, order it with the salad dressing on the side so that you can control how much is used.

Be sure that your salad also comes complete with a protein source – either grilled chicken or else hard boiled eggs if you prefer.

Soup

Finally, soup can also be a good option when dining fast food as long as you choose wisely. For soup options, go with one that is broth based so that it doesn’t come with all the fat and calories normally found in creamy soups.

The more vegetables in the soup – the better. If it’s a vegetable based soup or minestrone, you’ll also likely want to have it with a side grilled chicken breast as well for protein.

So there are some fast and easy options for your fast food meals. If you choose carefully, this visit doesn’t have to ruin your diet protocol.
