Renee Carr – August 2017

My best friend Alex brought me to Precision Fitness. She wanted me to try a 6 Week Challenge with her – Alex is in better shape than me and is a little more adventurous – so I looked it up, I didn’t see anything about running till you drop or rolling tractor tires… so I said “yes” – I’m glad she’s persistent. I had to borrow some courage from her to walk thru the door for the first time. I was self-conscious, in terrible shape, and worried I would hurt myself.

My original goal was just to complete the 6 weeks, but a couple weeks into it, before any noticeable weight loss, I was already feeling better overall – the daily aches and pains were subsiding, I could sit on the floor without fear of not being able to get up. Now, I want to focus on building endurance, getting stronger and achieving a healthy weight.

I have had a lot of success: on the scale (down 40lbs), in clothing size (size 22 – 16!), seeing muscles I forgot I had, but most importantly in my self-confidence and overall health. I feel stronger, happier and have more energy than I have in years. Also, I find it rewarding when I meet the challenge of doing something I didn’t think I could do.

My favorite part is that It’s FUN! This place is AMAZING! It’s like a judgement free zone. The exercises are tailored to fit my capabilities but at the same time moving me toward a more challenging workout in a safe manner. I have never felt inadequate or embarrassed asking for help and I have never been asked to do something that was above my physical capabilities – it’s weird how they know, but they do. And the nutritional guidance has been invaluable. There is nothing “off limits” and no “special” requirements – it was very easy to incorporate Dustin’s common-sense advice into my family’s meal plan. It’s the whole package!

The workouts are 30 minutes, so it’s not a time hog. If something does come up, Dustin works hard to help you find another class that will fit for that week. In fact, I look forward to going – my last class of the week is Thursday and often Monday seems so far away until I get to go again. I think it helps that every day the workout is different and the workouts change every month so you don’t have time to get bored.
