Great Ways To Serve Up Casein Protein Powder

If you’re someone who’s been trying to get more protein into your diet, you may be tempted to start to turn towards using a protein powder to fit the bill. One particular form of protein powder to consider that offers great benefits as it’s one of the slower digesting proteins available is a casein powder.

Casein protein is a good one to use before bed as it’ll provide a steady stream of amino acids to the muscle cells over time, ensuring you’re well fueled throughout the sleep process.

One issue some people face however is that they simply don’t like the taste of casein protein powder with water, so then you need to find creative ways to serve it up.

Let’s go over a few options to consider.

Casein Protein Pudding

The very first way to get your casein protein powder in is with casein protein pudding. Because this protein variety offers a very thick texture, it mixes up very well into a pudding even with just plain water.

If you prefer something a little more ‘gourmet’, consider mixing it up with some milk or a bit of Greek yogurt instead for a high protein fix to get you through your day.

Casein Protein Spread

The next option to consider is preparing a casein spread. This works great over some whole grain bread or simply eaten on its own if you’re on a lower carb diet plan.

Combine a couple tablespoons of fat free cream cheese along with a scoop of casein protein powder and just enough water to make it mix.

Add in some dried unsweetened coconut and you’re set.

Note that you can also make this with some natural peanut butter as well if you’d prefer.

 Casein Protein Bars

Finally, the last option is to whip up some casein protein bars. For these, combine a scoop of casein protein powder with about an eight of a cup of coconut milk and another quarter cup of dried coconut.

Form into small balls and then melt a few oz. of dark chocolate over a burner, dipping the balls in to coat. Set in the fridge for thirty minutes to an hour and they’ll be ready to eat in no time.

So don’t struggle to choke back casein protein powder any longer. Use any of these recipes and you can easily get your protein in and your body fed.
